Michael Smith vs Mark Pennison

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Federation promoted show at Brisbane McPheron, Brisbane,  taking place on 20/03/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Australia-Queensland Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Smith (11 - 8(1) - 4) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Mark Pennison(17(4) - 1(1)) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Smith and Pennison weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Wark, and the three ringside judges are Pepe Brunetti, Seth Urbano and Zain Sharifi.  

Round 1: 

Pennison closes the distance and forces Smith to back into the corner.  Pennison lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Pennison advances into close range and is on target with a stinging right hook.  Pennison clinches his opponent.  Pennison is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pennison walks his opponent into the corner.  Pennison attempts to land a right uppercut, but Smith blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pennison is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.  
Pennison closes the distance.  Pennison sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pennison is on target with a firm right hook to Smith's ribs.  Pennison clinches his opponent.  Pennison is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pennison lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.

Pennison advances into close range.  Smith throws a right hook, but Pennison holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pennison pushes his forearm into Smith's face.  The ref breaks Pennison's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pennison gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Pennison ties up his opponent.  Pennison leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pennison gets on the inside.  Smith pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pennison lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Pennison sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Smith throws a left hook, but Pennison holds on to his opponent.  Smith leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
