Kris Braden vs Adrian Mate

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Elliot Gym, Bristol,  taking place on 20/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Kris Braden (6 - 0) who hails from Colchester, UK and Adrian Mate(1 - 2 - 1) from Peristeri, Greece.  Both Braden and Mate weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Barron, and the three ringside judges are Bilal Meskin, Robert Hill and Tobias Goodlett.  

Round 1: 

Braden throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Braden ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Braden pushes his forearm into Mate's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Braden.  
Mate is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Braden lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Braden closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Braden lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Braden pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a cross to the head.  
Braden is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Braden holds on to his opponent.  Braden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Braden is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Braden advances into close range.  Braden sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Braden lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Braden holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Braden pushes his forearm into Mate's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Braden about fouling.  
Braden steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  Braden holds on to his opponent.  Braden uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Mate's kidney. The ref breaks Braden's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Braden is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Braden is on target with a firm right hook.  
Braden connects with a right hook.  
Braden lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Mate steps to the outside.  Braden lands a cross to the body, a cross to the head and an overhand right to the head.  
Mate tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Braden sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Braden is on target with a right hook.  Braden holds on to his opponent.  Braden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Braden's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mate.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mate's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Mate's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Mate waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Braden digs in a sharp left uppercut to Mate's body.  
Braden lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mate attempts to land a right hook, but Braden sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Braden quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Braden steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
