Owen Chakmakian vs David Espey

Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at University of the Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 04/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Owen Chakmakian (16(9) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and David Espey(13 - 12(1) - 2) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Chakmakian and Espey weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Westwood, and the three ringside judges are Francesco Ghiglia, Mark Lockie and Bruce Storer.  

Round 1: 

Espey throws a left hook, but Chakmakian holds on to his opponent.  Chakmakian is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Chakmakian is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chakmakian digs in a right hook to Espey's body.  
Chakmakian lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Chakmakian advances into close range.  Chakmakian quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Chakmakian lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Chakmakian lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Chakmakian holds on to his opponent.  Chakmakian is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Chakmakian to stop fouling.

Chakmakian closes the distance.  Chakmakian quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Chakmakian closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  Chakmakian clinches his opponent.  Chakmakian leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chakmakian lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Chakmakian ties up his opponent.  Chakmakian leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chakmakian lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Chakmakian sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Espey throws a right hook, but Chakmakian ties up his opponent.  Espey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chakmakian lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Chakmakian lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Chakmakian advances into close range and forces Espey to back into the corner.  Chakmakian hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Chakmakian pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Chakmakian connects with a right hook.  
Chakmakian hits home with a right hook.  
Chakmakian is on target with a right hook to Espey's ribs.  
Chakmakian manouvers Espey onto the ropes.  Chakmakian connects with a firm left hook.  Chakmakian holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Chakmakian pushes his forearm into Espey's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Chakmakian to stop fouling.  
Chakmakian lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chakmakian closes the distance and walks Espey down, trapping him in the corner.  Chakmakian lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Espey throws a left hook, but Chakmakian holds on to his opponent.  Espey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Chakmakian to stop holding.  
Chakmakian feints a cross, and then is on target with a left hook.  
Espey steps inside.  Chakmakian lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Chakmakian lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chakmakian dabs at his face checking for damage.  Chakmakian has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Espey's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Espey's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Espey's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Chakmakian lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Espey feints a cross, but Chakmakian does not fall for it and lands with a cross.  
Chakmakian walks Espey into the corner.  Chakmakian lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Chakmakian connects with a stinging left hook.  
Chakmakian drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Espey digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Chakmakian steps inside and lands a firm right hook.  
Chakmakian sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Espey sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Chakmakian throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Chakmakian is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Chakmakian lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Espey quickly recovers. 
Chakmakian connects with a solid left hook.

Chakmakian gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND ESPEY IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Espey is getting frustrated here.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.
