Alec Kisombe vs Blake Mbara

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing 2.0 promoted show at Volkswagen  Dobsonville Stadium, Soweto,  taking place on 03/10/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Southern African Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SuperSport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alec Kisombe (13(9) - 1) who hails from East London, South Africa and Blake Mbara(18(1) - 0 - 1) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  Both Kisombe and Mbara weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lisimba Jali, and the three ringside judges are Xhosas Kwadwo, Jabulani Segolela and Gift Manyisa.  

Round 1: 

Mbara closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Mbara pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kisombe connects with a left uppercut.  
Mbara is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Mbara tries to land a left hook, but Kisombe sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Kisombe tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kisombe lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Mbara throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a WICKED right hook.  MBARA IS HURT!  
The right shot from Kisombe could be enough to force the stoppage!  Kisombe lands a cross followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Mbara now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Mbara is looking to close the distance and manages to force Kisombe into the red corner.  Mbara connects with a left uppercut.  
Mbara lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Kisombe pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND MBARA IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  Mbara recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mbara is looking to close the distance.  Kisombe lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kisombe is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mbara attempts to land a cross, but Kisombe blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Mbara closes the distance and forces Kisombe to retreat onto the ropes.  Mbara digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kisombe DETONATES a hurtful cross on his opponents face.  MBARA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mbara almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Mbara advances into close range.  Kisombe hits home with a left uppercut.  
Kisombe tries to keep the action at long range.  Mbara is on target with a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mbara's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Mbara's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Kisombe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kisombe tries to step out of his opponents range and drives a jab into Mbara's body.  
Kisombe lands two consecutive straights to his opponents body.  
Mbara feints a cross, fooling Kisombe into throwing a left hook counter.  Mbara avoids the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mbara advances into close range.  Kisombe lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS MBARA TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Mbara is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Kisombe!
