Juan Chaparro vs Santiago Alvizo

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Estadio Luis Franzini, Montevideo,  taking place on 27/09/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uruguay Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Juan Chaparro (40(31) - 8(7)) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Santiago Alvizo(28(1) - 5(4)) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Chaparro and Alvizo weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yago Montejo, and the three ringside judges are Rico Rogero, Cuba Leiva and Yago Montejo.  

Round 1: 

Alvizo advances into close range.  Chaparro pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Chaparro lands a cross, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Alvizo lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Chaparro switches the action to the outside and connects with an overhand left.  
Alvizo closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Alvizo hits home with a left hook.  Chaparro ties up his opponent.  Alvizo pushes his forearm into Chaparro's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Alvizo.  
Chaparro is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Alvizo is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Alvizo walks Chaparro down, trapping him on the ropes.  Chaparro lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Alvizo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Alvizo tries to land a left hook, but Chaparro blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Chaparro is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to Alvizo's body.  
Alvizo connects with a right hook.  
Chaparro throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Chaparro steps to the outside and drives a stinging jab into Alvizo's body.  
Alvizo is looking to close the distance and forces Chaparro to retreat onto the ropes.  Alvizo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Chaparro connects with a FIERCE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE ALVIZO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  As Chaparro tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Alvizo.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  Alvizo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Alvizo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Chaparro digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Alvizo lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Alvizo attempts to land a left hook, but Chaparro dodges the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Chaparro tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Alvizo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Alvizo drives a right uppercut into Chaparro's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alvizo's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Chaparro whips in a nasty right uppercut to Alvizo's body.  ALVIZO IS HURT!  Alvizo almost instantly recovers. 
Chaparro lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Chaparro is on target with a sharp cross.  
Alvizo gets on the inside and forces Chaparro to retreat into the corner.  Alvizo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Chaparro lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Chaparro connects with a right hook.  
Alvizo closes the distance.  Chaparro drives a solid right hook into Alvizo's body.  
Chaparro steps away from his opponent and lands a jab, overhand left and an overhand right to his opponents head, AND SENDS ALVIZO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Chaparro knows Alvizo is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Chaparro lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND ALVIZO IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  Alvizo now seems to have got his legs back.  
Alvizo steps inside.  Alvizo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Chaparro throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Chaparro holds on to his opponent.  Chaparro pushes his forearm into Alvizo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Chaparro about fouling.  
Chaparro tries to keep the action at long range.  Chaparro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Chaparro lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Alvizo walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Chaparro lands a spiteful jab.  
Alvizo is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right uppercut, but Chaparro parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Chaparro is looking to keep his distance.  Alvizo connects with a cross.  
Chaparro lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Chaparro is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Chaparro lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Alvizo steps inside.  Chaparro knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Chaparro lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING ALVIZO DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Chaparro!
