Cris Sarangaya vs Bryn Pila

Boxing Daily Report from the Poku Promotions promoted show at San Pedro Bandigas, San Pedro,  taking place on 20/08/2036:

Clearly Poku Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cris Sarangaya (15(13) - 0) who hails from General Santos, Philippines and Bryn Pila(2 - 2) from Caloocan, Philippines.  Both Sarangaya and Pila weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Murillo, and the three ringside judges are Nemesio Castrillo, Santiago Trillo and Neper Langkin.  

Round 1: 

Sarangaya steps inside.  Pila pivots from in front of his opponent.  Pila throws a left hook, but Sarangaya ties up his opponent.  Sarangaya is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sarangaya about fouling.  
Sarangaya lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sarangaya holds on to his opponent.  Sarangaya is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Sarangaya uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Pila's kidney. 
Sarangaya is looking to close the distance and walks Pila down, trapping him in the red corner.  Pila throws a left uppercut, but Sarangaya clinches his opponent.  Sarangaya is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sarangaya's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sarangaya connects with a right uppercut.  
Sarangaya lands a jab.  
Sarangaya lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sarangaya holds on to his opponent.  Sarangaya leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Sarangaya throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Sarangaya lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sarangaya clinches his opponent.  Sarangaya leans on his opponent using all his weight. Sarangaya uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Pila behind the head. 
Sarangaya lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sarangaya holds on to his opponent.  Sarangaya hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch.

Sarangaya lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Pila almost instantly recovers. 
Sarangaya forces Pila to back into a corner.  Sarangaya lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sarangaya digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pila steps away from his opponent.  Sarangaya lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sarangaya closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Sarangaya closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sarangaya closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pila pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sarangaya lands a cross to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Sarangaya lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND PILA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Pila quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pila's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Pila's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Sarangaya closes the distance and manouvers Pila into the corner.  Sarangaya lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Sarangaya attempts to land a right uppercut, but Pila blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pila throws a left hook, but Sarangaya clinches his opponent.  Sarangaya leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Sarangaya pushes his forearm into Pila's face.  The referee warns Sarangaya and breaks the clinch.  
Sarangaya digs in a solid right hook to Pila's body.  
Sarangaya is on target with a left hook to Pila's ribs.  
Sarangaya is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sarangaya forces Pila to retreat into the corner.  Sarangaya lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sarangaya lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Sarangaya holds on to his opponent.  Sarangaya leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sarangaya to stop holding.

Sarangaya knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Sarangaya lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND PILA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Pila now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Sarangaya slams a DESTRUCTIVE left uppercut into Pila's body.  DOWN GOES PILA!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Sarangaya!
