Alec Harrison vs Ian Guffy

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane,  taking place on 16/08/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alec Harrison (14 - 5) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Ian Guffy(19(14) - 4(1)) from Melbourne, Australia.  Harrison weighed in at 111 pounds and 8 ounces, while Guffy weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Reekie, and the three ringside judges are Michael Guffy, Jordan Traill and Michael Boyle.  

Round 1: 

Guffy lands a cross.  
Guffy tries to land a left hook, but Harrison parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

Guffy gets on the inside and manouvers Harrison onto the ropes.  Harrison throws a right hook, but Guffy ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Harrison pushes his forearm into Guffy's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Harrison dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Harrison.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Harrison tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Guffy lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Harrison advances into close range.  Guffy lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Harrison hits home with a cross.  
Guffy digs in a left hook to Harrison's body.  
Harrison walks Guffy down, trapping him on the ropes.  Guffy lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Guffy pivots to the left of his opponent.  Guffy throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Guffy throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Guffy connects with a firm cross.  
Guffy tries to land a left hook, but Harrison sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Harrison gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.

Harrison steps inside.  Guffy lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Guffy clinches his opponent.  Guffy tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Harrison behind the head. As they grapple, Harrison pushes his forearm into Guffy's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Harrison to stop fouling.
