Adam Birdi vs Greg Muthaura

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Kaikai, Nairobi,  taking place on 16/08/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Adam Birdi (9 - 23 - 8) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Greg Muthaura(8 - 7(1) - 3) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Birdi and Muthaura weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Birdi, and the three ringside judges are Duncan Wakihuri, Manu Yator and Oja Leresae.  

Round 1: 

Birdi closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Muthaura retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Birdi is whaling away with hooks, but Muthaura keeps his defence tight.  
Muthaura switches the action to the outside.  Birdi is on target with a cross to Muthaura's body.  
Birdi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Birdi is looking to close the distance.  Muthaura connects with a left hook.  
Birdi closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Muthaura connects with a left hook.  Muthaura goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Birdi to the neutral corner.  He lectures Muthaura but does not take away a point.
