Gus Howey vs Chris McRae

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-North Carolina promoted show at Label Nightclub, Charlotte,  taking place on 09/08/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-North Carolina Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gus Howey (23 - 8) who hails from Charlotte, USA and Chris McRae(17 - 12 - 4) from Charlotte, USA.  Both Howey and McRae weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clinton Gide, and the three ringside judges are Paul Stirling, Dan Creelman and Dave Jernigan.  

Round 1: 

Howey lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Howey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McRae throws a left uppercut, but Howey holds on to his opponent.  Howey leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Howey to stop holding.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Howey.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
