Ifeanyi Akpala vs Paul Bankole

Boxing Daily Report from the Shanungu Promotions promoted show at Lukman Otorogu Gym, Ilorin,  taking place on 01/08/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Kwara State Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ifeanyi Akpala (1 - 2 - 2) who hails from Ilorin, Nigeria and Paul Bankole(3 - 3 - 2) from Offa, Nigeria.  Both Akpala and Bankole weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Akeem Nworah, and the three ringside judges are Kamran Kalil, Kenzie Acquah and Emem Oguntokun.  

Round 1: 

Akpala lands a left hook.

Bankole advances into close range.  Bankole attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Akpala time to recover.  
Akpala is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bankole finds the target with a jab.  
Bankole lands a cross.  
Akpala tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Bankole is looking to close the distance.  Bankole digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  As Bankole tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Akpala dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Bankole is looking to close the distance.  Akpala attempts to land a left hook, but Bankole parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Akpala's ribs.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Akpala's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Akpala's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Bankole's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
