Iwao Ohno vs Akira Hatanaka

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 09/08/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the East Asian Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Iwao Ohno (19(4) - 5(4)) who hails from Kashiwa, Japan and Akira Hatanaka(14 - 13(2) - 5) from Yokohama, Japan.  Both Ohno and Hatanaka weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hiroki Amaya, and the three ringside judges are Michi Uyehara, Yuichi Abe and Yasushi Shishido.  

Round 1: 

Hatanaka gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Ohno slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ohno leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Hatanaka accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Ohno.  
Ohno tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.
