Brett Dahm vs Gethin Maddix

Boxing Daily Report from the International Boxing Fight League promoted show at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix,  taking place on 12/07/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Brett Dahm (2(2) - 0) who hails from Cincinnati, USA and Gethin Maddix(4 - 18 - 2) from Spokane, USA.  Dahm weighed in at 200 pounds, while Maddix weighed in at 199 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dylan Preston, and the three ringside judges are Sid Stirton, Duncan Spence and Berto Maio.  

Round 1: 

Dahm is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  Dahm ties up his opponent.  Dahm is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dahm closes the distance.  Maddix throws a left hook, but Dahm ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Dahm pushes his forearm into Maddix's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Dahm connects with a stinging right hook.  
Dahm lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Dahm tries to land a left uppercut, but Maddix parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Maddix throws a left hook, but Dahm clinches his opponent.  Dahm pushes his forearm into Maddix's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Dahm to stop fouling.  
Dahm quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a firm cross.  
Dahm is on target with a left hook.  
Maddix closes the distance and forces Dahm to retreat into a corner.  Dahm digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Dahm is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maddix's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Maddix's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Maddix's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
