Daiki Maekawa vs Yutaka Yoshihara

Boxing Daily Report from the Koranteng Promotions promoted show at Sapporo Okawa, Sapporo,  taking place on 02/07/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Hokkaido Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daiki Maekawa (24(5) - 2 - 2) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Yutaka Yoshihara(16 - 10(3) - 4) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Maekawa and Yoshihara weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kyo Kawabata, and the three ringside judges are Eiji Suzuki, Yoshi Ige and Michi Kaneko.  

Round 1: 

Maekawa hits home with a solid left hook.  
Maekawa pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Maekawa forces Yoshihara to back into the ropes.  Maekawa lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Maekawa tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Maekawa clinches his opponent.  Maekawa uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Yoshihara behind the head. Maekawa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Yoshihara sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Yoshihara throws a left hook, but Maekawa ties up his opponent.  Maekawa uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Yoshihara's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maekawa feints a cross, and then drives a left hook into Yoshihara's liver.  
Maekawa gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.

You can sense Yoshihara is getting frustrated in there.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref stops the action and tells Yoshihara to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Maekawa time to recover.

Maekawa is looking to keep the action on the outside and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Yoshihara steps inside.  Maekawa is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Maekawa closes the distance.  Yoshihara throws a right uppercut, but Maekawa clinches his opponent.  Maekawa uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Yoshihara behind the head. Maekawa is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Maekawa stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Maekawa lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING YOSHIHARA TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Maekawa!
