Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing promoted show at Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex, Yaoundé,  taking place on 20/06/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a tournament fight from Cameroon Middleweigh.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jerrold Vasco (13 - 15 - 3) who hails from Las Condes, Chile and Majid Abdel-Shafy(17 - 13(1) - 2) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Both Vasco and Abdel-Shafy weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nicolas Paquin, and the three ringside judges are Paris Bong, Josce Mbongo and Benedict Ekwe.  

Round 1: 

Abdel-Shafy is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Abdel-Shafy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Vasco time to recover.  
Abdel-Shafy steps away from his opponent.  Vasco lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Vasco tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Vasco is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Vasco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Abdel-Shafy's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Abdel-Shafy's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
