Joaquin Montera vs Iago Gerardo

Boxing Daily Report from the Kanja Promotions promoted show at Magangue Gomez, Magangue,  taking place on 23/06/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Colombia-Bolivar Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Montera (18(3) - 3(1)) who hails from Cartagena, Colombia and Iago Gerardo(11 - 3(1) - 2) from Cartagena, Colombia.  Both Montera and Gerardo weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Manuel Montez, and the three ringside judges are Reynaldo Suarez, Joaquin Vegas and Ramiro Cubero.  

Round 1: 

Montera gets on the inside.  Gerardo throws a left hook, but Montera holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Montera drives a left uppercut into Gerardo's body.  
Montera lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Montera is looking to close the distance.  Gerardo throws a left hook, but Montera clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Montera's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Gerardo attempts to land a jab, but Montera dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Montera advances into close range.  Gerardo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Montera lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
