Shamus Myres vs Basten Buys

Boxing Daily Report from the MCK MARBELLA promoted show at Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle,  taking place on 07/06/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Shamus Myres (41(33) - 3(3) - 1) who hails from Belfast, UK and Basten Buys(13 - 6(3)) from Roodepoort, South Africa.  Myres weighed in at 244 pounds and 11 ounces, while Buys weighed in at 258 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Amon Valentine, and the three ringside judges are Mark Stoddart, Glynn James and David Duffy.  

Round 1:
