John Gurganus vs Ovidio Hernadez

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 30/07/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Long John Gurganus (37(29) - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Markham, Canada and Ovidio Hernadez(27(8) - 8(7)) from Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic.  Both Gurganus and Hernadez weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Merricks, and the three ringside judges are Lewis Mein, Zuffur Sylla and Davie Home.  

Round 1: 

Gurganus sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!

Gurganus switches the action to the outside and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Hernadez almost instantly gets his legs back.

Gurganus tries to keep the action at long range and lands a spiteful jab.  
Gurganus walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Hernadez lands a jab.  
Gurganus tries to keep the action at long range and SLAMS a big cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE HERNADEZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Hernadez could be stopped here, if Gurganus can find the right shot!  Gurganus lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS HERNADEZ SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Hernadez now seems to have got his legs back.

Gurganus is looking to keep his distance and drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Gurganus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Hernadez throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a WICKED cross.  HERNADEZ HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT HERNADEZ IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Gurganus!
