John Shea vs Joshua Ruxton

Boxing Daily Report from the Peanut Promotions promoted show at New York City Pryce, New York City,  taking place on 06/06/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New York State Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Shea (20 - 6(1) - 5) who hails from New York City, USA and Joshua Ruxton(6(2) - 0) from Rochester, USA.  Shea weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces, while Ruxton weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Regan, and the three ringside judges are Mike Dever, Bob Boyle and John Trivelli.  

Round 1: 

Ruxton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Shea throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Ruxton closes the distance and manages to force Shea into the corner.  Ruxton lands a right hook to the head followed by two left uppercut's to the body.  
Ruxton digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ruxton gets on the inside and lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ruxton connects with a right uppercut.  Ruxton tries to land a right uppercut, but Shea blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ruxton lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ruxton digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  Ruxton attempts to land a right uppercut, but Shea blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ruxton about fouling.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shea dabs at his face checking for damage.
