Mark Riojas vs Darryl Zaragoza

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at Los Angeles Troup, Los Angeles,  taking place on 03/06/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-California Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Riojas (20 - 20(2) - 5) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Darryl The Dazzling Zaragoza(33(22) - 7(5)) from Rancho Cucamonga, USA.  Both Riojas and Zaragoza weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Lynn, and the three ringside judges are Barry Sabado, John Dickie and Adam Moreno.  

Round 1: 

Zaragoza is looking to close the distance.  Zaragoza quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Zaragoza lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Zaragoza holds on to his opponent.  Zaragoza pushes his forearm into Riojas's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Riojas steps away from his opponent.  Zaragoza lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Riojas pivots to the right of his opponent.  Zaragoza lands a solid cross.  
Zaragoza is looking to close the distance and manages to force Riojas into a corner.  Zaragoza pivots from in front of his opponent.  Riojas throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Zaragoza lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Zaragoza clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Zaragoza pushes his forearm into Riojas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Zaragoza about fouling.

Zaragoza pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Zaragoza sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to Riojas's body.  
Zaragoza lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Zaragoza throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Zaragoza clinches his opponent.  Zaragoza is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zaragoza forces Riojas to retreat onto the ropes.  Zaragoza quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Riojas throws a left uppercut, but Zaragoza clinches his opponent.  Zaragoza tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Riojas's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Zaragoza to stop fouling.  
Zaragoza drives a right hook into Riojas's body.  
Zaragoza lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Zaragoza hits home with a left uppercut.  
Zaragoza lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Zaragoza quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Riojas throws a right hook, but Zaragoza ties up his opponent.  Zaragoza is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zaragoza lands two left hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Zaragoza leans on his opponent using all his weight. Zaragoza tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Riojas's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Zaragoza to stop fouling.  Zaragoza wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Riojas dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Zaragoza lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Zaragoza pivots from in front of his opponent.  Zaragoza throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Zaragoza is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Riojas's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Riojas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Zaragoza closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  Zaragoza ties up his opponent.  Zaragoza leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Zaragoza is looking to close the distance and lands a stinging left hook.  
Zaragoza manouvers Riojas into a neutral corner.  Zaragoza lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Zaragoza steps to the outside.  Riojas attempts to land a cross, but Zaragoza sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Zaragoza advances into close range and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Zaragoza lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Riojas is looking to close the distance.  Zaragoza SLAMS a FEROCIOUS right hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE RIOJAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Riojas quickly recovers. 
Zaragoza sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Zaragoza is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Riojas quickly recovers. 
Zaragoza gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Riojas quickly recovers. 
Zaragoza lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS RIOJAS TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Zaragoza!
