Vicente Castellanos vs Cris Herro

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Ovidio Umanzor Gym, Bayamon,  taking place on 01/05/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Castellanos (4 - 28(3) - 4) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Cris Herro(12 - 18(2) - 5) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Both Castellanos and Herro weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cuba Lugar, and the three ringside judges are Baltasar Castilleja, Venacio Toscano and Elias Subia.  

Round 1: 

Herro steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Herro steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Herro feints a right hook, and then lands a jab to Castellanos's body.  
Castellanos tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Castellanos is on target with a right uppercut.  
Herro steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Herro lands a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Castellanos's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Castellanos pivots to the right of his opponent and throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Herro time to recover.  
Herro is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Herro finds the target with a jab.  
Castellanos is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Herro's body.  
Herro steps away from his opponent.  Herro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Castellanos connects with an overhand left.  
Castellanos tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
