Vul Kirui vs Robert Cherigat

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Ruiru Msolla, Ruiru,  taking place on 29/04/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Kenya-Kiambu Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vul Kirui (20 - 6(3) - 1) who hails from Ruiru, Kenya and Robert Cherigat(27(23) - 6(6)) from Kikuyu, Kenya.  Kirui weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces, while Cherigat weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Max Arita, and the three ringside judges are Amon Itote, Mark Kamande and Azam Taheri.  

Round 1: 

Kirui tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cherigat steps inside.  Kirui quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kirui throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Kirui tries to keep the action at long range.  Cherigat hits home with a stinging cross.  
Cherigat steps inside and manages to force Kirui into a corner.  Cherigat lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  Cherigat ties up his opponent.  Kirui is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kirui.  
Cherigat lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Cherigat is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Cherigat lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Cherigat sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kirui attempts to land a left hook, but Cherigat sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut to Kirui's liver.  
Cherigat walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cherigat lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Cherigat sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Cherigat drives a solid left uppercut into Kirui's ribs.  Cherigat attempts to land a left hook, but Kirui blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Cherigat throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Cherigat ties up his opponent.  Cherigat hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Kirui tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land an overhand right, but Cherigat dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kirui throws a left uppercut, but Cherigat clinches his opponent.  Cherigat is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kirui steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Kirui is on target with an overhand left.  
Cherigat gets on the inside.  Kirui tries to land a right hook, but Cherigat blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Cherigat lands a jab.  Cherigat attempts to land an overhand right, but Kirui dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cherigat advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Kirui on the ropes.  Cherigat lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cherigat digs in a sharp right hook to Kirui's body.  Cherigat tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kirui's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Kirui's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Cherigat closes the distance.  Kirui drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  Kirui attempts to land a left hook, but Cherigat slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Kirui tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a jab, but Cherigat blocks the shot and counters with a DEVASTATING cross.  KIRUI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Cherigat walks Kirui onto the ropes.  Cherigat senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Cherigat lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, DROPPING KIRUI TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Kirui now seems to have his senses back.  
Cherigat lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Cherigat is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Kirui steps away from his opponent.  Cherigat connects with a cross.  
Cherigat gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Cherigat connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Cherigat walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cherigat is on target with a weighty right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  KIRUI IS HURT!  Kirui quickly recovers. 
Cherigat gets on the inside and drives a forceful left hook into his opponents body.  KIRUI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Cherigat holds on to his opponent.  Kirui pushes his forearm into Cherigat's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Kirui almost instantly recovers. 
Cherigat connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Cherigat forces Kirui to back into the corner.  Kirui digs in a left hook to Cherigat's body.  
Cherigat hits home with a left hook.  
Cherigat pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Kirui could be stopped here, if Cherigat can find the right shot!  Cherigat EXPLODES a SAVAGE right hook into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES KIRUI!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Kirui has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Cherigat throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Cherigat lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Kirui connects with a left hook.  Kirui now seems to have his senses back.  
Cherigat sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS KIRUI TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Kirui can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Cherigat!
