Ben Byrne vs Mike Taylor

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Illinois promoted show at Chicago Murphy, Chicago,  taking place on 05/03/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Illinois Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ben Byrne (13 - 10(1) - 5) who hails from Chicago, USA and Mike Taylor(23 - 12(2) - 2) from Chicago, USA.  Byrne weighed in at 147 pounds, while Taylor weighed in at 147 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Will Girvin, and the three ringside judges are Chris Gittins, Ethan Bukowski and Barry Anderson.  

Round 1: 

Taylor manages to force Byrne into the corner.  Taylor hits home with a cross.  
Taylor tries to step out of his opponents range.  Taylor feints a cross, but Byrne is not fooled and lands with a cross.  
Byrne sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with an overhand left.  
Byrne is on target with a jab.  
Byrne advances into close range.  As Taylor tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Byrne dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Byrne attempts to land a right uppercut, but Taylor slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Byrne gets on the inside and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.
