Chris Kitchings vs Irfan Tariq

Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at Royal ICC, Brisbane,  taking place on 18/02/2036:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Chris Pumpkin Kitchings (15(9) - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Irfan Tariq(14 - 17(1) - 6) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  Both Kitchings and Tariq weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Catanach, and the three ringside judges are Neil Pembroke, Joel Glines and Andy Sare.  

Round 1: 

Kitchings is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Kitchings is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  Kitchings clinches his opponent.  Kitchings throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kitchings to stop fouling.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Tariq.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
