Alejandro Cotto vs Venacio Morelos

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Bolivia-Santa Cruz promoted show at Santa Cruz de la Sie Valeriano, Santa Cruz de la Sierra,  taking place on 17/12/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Bolivia-Santa Cruz Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alejandro Cotto (26(2) - 9) who hails from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia and Venacio Morelos(5 - 4 - 3) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Cotto weighed in at 112 pounds, while Morelos weighed in at 112 pounds And 12 ounces.    As Morelos came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Enzo Sandino, and the three ringside judges are Angel Morejon, Ora Salido and Diego Penaranda.

Cotto cuts off the ring, trapping Morelos on the ropes.  Cotto throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Cotto holds on to his opponent.  Cotto is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Cotto and breaks the clinch.  
Cotto walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Cotto is on target with a telling right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  MORELOS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.

Cotto steps inside.  Cotto sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cotto lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Cotto tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Morelos is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cotto lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Morelos steps away from his opponent.  Cotto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Cotto closes the distance.  Cotto drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  Morelos wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cotto dabs at his face checking for damage.  Cotto has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Morelos is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cotto lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cotto.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Cotto lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND MORELOS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.

Cotto closes the distance.  Some sustained pressure from Cotto could be enough to finish Morelos!  Cotto lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS MORELOS TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Cotto!
