James Shirer vs John Pait

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 03/11/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are James Shirer (4 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and John Pait(2 - 1) from Stamford, USA.  Both Shirer and Pait weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Stobie, and the three ringside judges are Ian Sproule, Bart McWethy and Owen Saunders.  

Round 1: 

Shirer gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  Shirer clinches his opponent.  Shirer pushes his forearm into Pait's face.  The referee warns Shirer and breaks the clinch.  
Pait is looking to close the distance.  Shirer lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Shirer ties up his opponent.  Shirer uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Pait's kidney. Shirer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Shirer pivots to the side of his opponent.  Shirer throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Shirer clinches his opponent.  Shirer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Shirer's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Shirer closes the distance and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Shirer lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Shirer gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp right hook.  Shirer tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Pait has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
Shirer lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Shirer feints a cross, and then drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Shirer closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Shirer lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Shirer lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Shirer lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Shirer lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Shirer is looking to close the distance.  Pait throws a left hook, but Shirer ties up his opponent.  Shirer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Shirer's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Shirer cuts off the ring, trapping Pait on the ropes.  Shirer sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Shirer sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pait attempts to land a left hook, but Shirer blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Pait steps inside.  Shirer drives a left uppercut into Pait's body.  
Shirer steps inside and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Pait hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pait's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Pait's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Pait's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Shirer lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Shirer forces Pait to back into the corner.  Shirer lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Shirer lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Shirer gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to Pait's ribs.  
Shirer closes the distance.  Pait sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Shirer lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.
