Keka Puhi vs Dan Kerry

Boxing Daily Report from the Lionheart Promotions promoted show at Lionheart Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 13/10/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Keka Puhi (2(1) - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Dan Kerry(0 - 2) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Puhi and Kerry weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Declan Haturini, and the three ringside judges are Dale Mostyn, Glynn Telford and Mason Dunning.  

Round 1: 

Puhi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kerry hits home with a left hook.  
Kerry is looking to close the distance and manages to force Puhi into the blue corner.  Puhi lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Puhi lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Kerry advances into close range.  Puhi connects with a right uppercut.  
Puhi steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Puhi is on target with a solid right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Puhi has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Puhi lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Puhi lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Puhi walks Kerry down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Puhi attempts to land a left hook, but Kerry blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Puhi lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Kerry.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Kerry advances into close range.  Puhi lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Kerry is looking to close the distance.  Puhi hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Puhi closes the distance.  Kerry throws a right uppercut, but Puhi ties up his opponent.  Puhi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Puhi and breaks the clinch.  
Puhi forces Kerry to retreat into a corner.  Puhi lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Puhi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kerry's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Puhi steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Puhi drives a stinging left hook into Kerry's liver.  
Puhi steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Puhi tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Puhi drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Puhi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Puhi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kerry throws a right hook, but Puhi clinches his opponent.  Puhi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Puhi hits home with a left hook.

Puhi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Puhi uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Kerry's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Puhi about fouling.
