Jose Merlin vs Ximen Jara

Boxing Daily Report from the Tuffuor Promotions promoted show at Alejandro Olivero Gym, Buenaventura,  taking place on 21/09/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Colombia-Valle del Cauca Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Merlin (6 - 9 - 2) who hails from Cali, Colombia and Ximen Jara(7 - 11 - 2) from Cali, Colombia.  Merlin weighed in at 126 pounds, while Jara weighed in at 124 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Fraco Barcelona, and the three ringside judges are Juan Calvo, Senon Avella and Joaquin Grimaldo.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jara dabs at his face checking for damage.  Jara has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
