Leighton Newman vs Mark Birrell

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Oliver Benichou Gym, Edmonton,  taking place on 18/09/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Newman (15 - 12 - 1) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Mark Birrell(8 - 4 - 3) from Edmonton, Canada.  Newman weighed in at 168 pounds, while Birrell weighed in at 167 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Theo Kimmons, and the three ringside judges are Louis Cauldwell, Campbell Marques and Paul Belan.
