Cortez Poma vs Jesus Monsalve

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Pichincha promoted show at Quito Velarde, Quito,  taking place on 12/09/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Cortez Poma (16 - 13(2) - 6) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Jesus Monsalve(15 - 16 - 8) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Poma and Monsalve weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Vallez, and the three ringside judges are Hernan Alameda, Ovidio Vallez and Seferino Montalbo.  

Round 1: 

Monsalve tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.  
Monsalve switches the action to the outside.  Poma finds the target with a jab.
