Boxing Daily Report from the Sultan's Fists promoted show at StarXpo, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 29/09/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Federal Territory Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ranjiv Chawla (12(7) - 1) who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Leeroy Poon(6 - 6(3) - 2) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Chawla and Poon weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zuffur Haq, and the three ringside judges are Ibrahim Mohammed, Tariq Ahmed and Rehan Azam.  

Round 1: 

Chawla lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Chawla holds on to his opponent.  Chawla is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Chawla's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Chawla lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Chawla ties up his opponent.  Chawla leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Chawla pushes his forearm into Poon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chawla walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Chawla lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.

Chawla digs in a solid right hook to Poon's ribcage.  Chawla clinches his opponent.  Chawla tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Poon behind the head. The ref breaks Chawla's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Chawla closes the distance and connects with a left hook.

Chawla closes the distance and whips in a nasty right hook to Poon's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE POON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Chawla ties up his opponent.  Chawla leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Poon almost instantly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Poon's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Poon's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate. Chawla is looking to close the distance.  Poon throws a left hook, but Chawla clinches his opponent.  Chawla leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Chawla throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.

Chawla lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chawla dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Chawla.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Chawla forces Poon to retreat onto the ropes.  Chawla is on target with a left uppercut to Poon's body.  
Chawla sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.
