Joshua Balderston vs Kai Mero

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkrumah Promotions promoted show at Euan Barland Gym, Albuquerque,  taking place on 07/09/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New Mexico Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joshua Balderston (21(16) - 0) who hails from Albuquerque, USA and Kai Mero(2 - 2 - 1) from Albuquerque, USA.  Both Balderston and Mero weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqas Saah, and the three ringside judges are Jacob Yuille, Gus Maddix and Robert Gemmill.  

Round 1: 

Balderston switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston lands with a stinging jab.
