Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Arena El Jefe, Monterrey,  taking place on 15/09/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Cortez Mare (1(1) - 0) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Montego Paulino(2 - 0) from Tehuacan, Mexico.  Both Mare and Paulino weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neper Carabello, and the three ringside judges are Baltasar Salome, Juan Velasquez and Santiago Fuertes.  

Round 1: 

Mare is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Mare cuts off the ring, trapping Paulino in the corner.  Mare drives a right uppercut into Paulino's body.  
Mare is on target with a left hook to Paulino's ribs.  
Mare advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Paulino steps inside.  Mare drives a firm right uppercut into Paulino's ribcage.  
Paulino walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mare lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Paulino throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Mare lands a stiff jab.  
Paulino advances into close range.  Mare digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mare ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mare pushes his forearm into Paulino's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mare.  
Mare attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Paulino's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Mare lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mare is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mare drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Paulino lands a left hook.  
Mare closes the distance and digs in a right hook to Paulino's ribcage.  Mare clinches his opponent.  Mare pushes his forearm into Paulino's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Paulino sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mare lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Paulino almost instantly recovers. 
Mare connects with a cross.  
Mare feints a cross, and then attempts to land a jab, but Paulino slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mare digs in a sharp right hook to Paulino's ribcage.  
Mare lands a right uppercut.  Mare attempts to land a right uppercut, but Paulino blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mare lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Mare holds on to his opponent.  Mare leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Mare's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mare lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Paulino's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Paulino's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Paulino throws a left hook, but Mare holds on to his opponent.  Mare uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Paulino behind the head. 
Mare steps inside and digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Mare lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mare connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Mare lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Paulino recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mare digs in a right uppercut to Paulino's ribcage.  Mare clinches his opponent.  Mare tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Paulino behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mare to stop fouling.  
Mare manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Mare is on target with a solid right uppercut to Paulino's ribcage.  
Mare lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Mare drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.

Mare drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Mare lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Paulino almost instantly recovers. 
Mare digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Mare lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Paulino lands a cross.  
Mare lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mare is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  PAULINO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mare forces Paulino to retreat onto the ropes.  Mare sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Paulino wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mare dabs at his face checking for damage.  Mare has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  It looks like Paulino has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mare lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Paulino now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Mare crashes a nasty right uppercut to Paulino's body.  DOWN GOES PAULINO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Paulino has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Mare advances into close range.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Paulino has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Mare sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mare lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mare holds on to his opponent.  Mare is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Mare uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Paulino's kidney.

Paulino is desperate to make more of an impact on his opponent.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref halts the action and sends Mare to the neutral corner.    He warns Paulino that he is heading for a point deduction.  
Mare closes the distance.  Mare sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mare forces Paulino to retreat onto the ropes.  Mare lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND SENDS PAULINO TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Mare!
