Darryl Dorward vs Joseph Falconer

Boxing Daily Report from the Jon Crosby promoted show at Luna Park Big Top, Sydney,  taking place on 08/09/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Darryl Dorward (10(5) - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Joseph Falconer(16 - 16(7) - 3) from Melbourne, Australia.  Dorward weighed in at 229 pounds And 11 ounces, while Falconer weighed in at 253 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Hepburn, and the three ringside judges are Arnie Lipton, Bob Hails and Vince Jolly.  

Round 1: 

Dorward lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Dorward steps inside.  Dorward pivots to the left of his opponent.  Dorward throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Dorward clinches his opponent.  Dorward is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dorward lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Dorward lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Dorward drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Falconer steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Dorward digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Dorward manouvers Falconer into the blue corner.  Dorward is on target with a jab.  
Dorward advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Dorward pivots to the left of his opponent.  Dorward lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Dorward ties up his opponent.  Dorward pushes his forearm into Falconer's face.  The ref breaks Dorward's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dorward lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Dorward gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dorward lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dorward is on target with a right hook to Falconer's ribs.  
Dorward lands a jab.  
Dorward closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Dorward forces Falconer to retreat onto the ropes.  Dorward lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Dorward connects with a solid left hook.  
Dorward lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Falconer recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Dorward is on target with a stinging left hook to Falconer's ribs.  
Falconer is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Dorward closes the distance and lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Dorward holds on to his opponent.  Dorward is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Dorward pushes his forearm into Falconer's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Falconer quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Falconer's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Falconer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Dorward gets on the inside and walks Falconer down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Dorward lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Dorward is on target with a potent right hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE FALCONER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Falconer quickly recovers. 
Dorward connects with a stinging cross.  
Dorward steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Dorward walks Falconer onto the ropes.  Dorward lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Dorward holds on to his opponent.  Dorward is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dorward lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS FALCONER!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Dorward!
