Nick Smith vs David Dripps

Boxing Daily Report from the VictoryBoxing promoted show at Markham Newman, Markham,  taking place on 22/08/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Ontario Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nick Smith (9 - 11 - 5) who hails from Ottawa, Canada and David Dripps(14(3) - 0) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Smith and Dripps weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Myron, and the three ringside judges are Arnie Waddey, Ian Biggs and Rob Murray.  

Round 1: 

Dripps tries to keep the action at long range.  Smith sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dripps lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Smith tries to land a jab, but Dripps sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Dripps gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.
