Arran Espey vs Alec Griffith

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Manitoba promoted show at Lionel Beaubien Gym, Winnipeg,  taking place on 20/08/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Manitoba Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Arran Espey (8 - 6(2)) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Alec Griffith(18 - 14(4) - 4) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Espey and Griffith weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Theo Walker, and the three ringside judges are Amon Badders, Steven Yale and Ian Fiddes.  

Round 1: 

Espey tries to keep the action at long range.  Espey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Espey throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.
