Carl Symington vs Sam Higgins

Boxing Daily Report from the Don Kingahan promoted show at Leinster Hall, Dundalk,  taking place on 18/08/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Ireland, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carl Symington (32(4) - 11(7) - 1) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Sam Higgins(30(16) - 5(3)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Symington and Higgins weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fionn Donnell, and the three ringside judges are Michael Dillon, Paul Healy and Carl MacRae.  

Round 1: 

Higgins sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Symington drives a right hook into Higgins's body.

Higgins connects with a firm cross.  Higgins tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Higgins is looking to close the distance and connects with a firm left hook.  Higgins tries to land a left hook, but Symington blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Symington tries to keep the action at long range and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  Symington tries to land a jab, but Higgins parries the shot and counters with a right hook.

Higgins lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, DROPPING SYMINGTON TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Symington's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Symington's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Higgins walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Higgins lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Higgins lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Higgins gets on the inside and drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Symington steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Higgins is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Higgins attempts to land a left hook, but Symington slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Higgins lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Symington recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Higgins steps inside.  Higgins pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Symington is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a FEARSOME right uppercut.  DOWN GOES SYMINGTON!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Higgins steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Higgins hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Higgins manages to force Symington onto the ropes.  Higgins throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Higgins's body.  
Symington steps to the outside.  Higgins lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS SYMINGTON TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Symington cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Higgins!
