Garrin Apt vs Eiji Iwai

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Azalea Taisho Hall, Osaka,  taking place on 17/08/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Garrin Apt (22(18) - 0) who hails from Bochum, Germany and Eiji Iwai(1 - 1 - 1) from Higashiosaka, Japan.  Both Apt and Iwai weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Raiden Yamamura, and the three ringside judges are Yoshi Yamane, Hiroki Tamashiro and Michi Yokoyama.  

Round 1: 

Apt lands with a ramrod jab.  
Iwai steps inside.  Apt sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Apt throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Apt ties up his opponent.  Apt pushes his forearm into Iwai's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Iwai advances into close range and manouvers Apt onto the ropes.  Apt throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Apt clinches his opponent.  Apt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Iwai is looking to close the distance.  Apt lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Apt lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Apt walks his opponent into the corner.  Apt lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Apt hits home with a stinging right hook.  Apt holds on to his opponent.  Apt tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Iwai's kidney. As they grapple, Apt pushes his forearm into Iwai's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Apt about fouling.  
Apt digs in a left uppercut to Iwai's body.  
Apt connects with a right hook.  
Apt throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Apt clinches his opponent.  Apt leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Apt feints a cross, and then lands a sharp left hook.  
Apt is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Apt lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Apt advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Iwai's body.  
Apt lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Apt lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Apt forces Iwai to retreat onto the ropes.  Apt lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Apt ties up his opponent.  Apt is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Apt and breaks the clinch.  
Apt lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Apt hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Apt sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two jab's to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Apt lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Apt lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Apt drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Apt steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Apt hits the target with a hard jab.  
Apt is looking to close the distance and drives a left uppercut into Iwai's liver.  Apt holds on to his opponent.  Apt leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iwai's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Apt is on target with a left hook.  
Apt lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Apt walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Apt tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Apt lands a firm right hook.  
Apt is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Apt forces Iwai to back into a corner.  Apt lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Apt digs in a left hook to Iwai's body.  
Apt lands a HUGE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE IWAI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Iwai quickly recovers. 
Apt steps inside and digs in a left hook to Iwai's ribs.  
Iwai is looking to close the distance.  Apt sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Apt lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Apt ties up his opponent.  Apt leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Some sustained pressure from Apt could be enough to finish Iwai!  Apt lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS IWAI!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Apt lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND KNOCKS IWAI DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Apt!
