Marcus McSwain vs Marcus Laird

Boxing Daily Report from the Mthethwa Promotions promoted show at Edinburgh McCort, Edinburgh,  taking place on 17/08/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marcus McSwain (14 - 12) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Marcus Laird(1 - 9) from Edinburgh, UK.  Both McSwain and Laird weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David MacInnes, and the three ringside judges are George Black, William Cooper and David MacInnes.  

Round 1: 

McSwain is on target with a right hook.  
McSwain lands a right hook.

McSwain steps inside and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  McSwain holds on to his opponent.  McSwain leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Laird sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Laird throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to Laird's body.  
McSwain is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
McSwain lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.
