Rodrigo Dimailig vs Aki Furuta

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo,  taking place on 11/08/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rodrigo Dimailig (8(4) - 0) who hails from Quezon City, Philippines and Aki Furuta(1 - 2) from Koshigaya, Japan.  Dimailig weighed in at 159 pounds and 15 ounces, while Furuta weighed in at 159 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Shoji, and the three ringside judges are Keiichi Iida, Eiji Uyeda and Kaede Yamazaki.  

Round 1: 

Dimailig gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Dimailig digs in a firm right hook to Furuta's body.  Dimailig clinches his opponent.  Dimailig leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Dimailig pushes his forearm into Furuta's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Furuta steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.

Dimailig manages to force Furuta onto the ropes.  Dimailig lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.

Dimailig walks Furuta into the corner.  Dimailig lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Dimailig ties up his opponent.  Dimailig is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Dimailig's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dimailig pivots to the side of his opponent andFuruta wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dimailig dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Dimailig is on target with a stinging left hook to Furuta's ribs.

Furuta is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Dimailig sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Dimailig lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND FURUTA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Dimailig senses Furuta is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Dimailig crashes a spiteful left hook to his opponents body.  FURUTA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
It looks like Furuta has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Dimailig walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Dimailig is on target with a firm left hook.  Dimailig clinches his opponent.  Dimailig throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Dimailig and breaks the clinch.  
Dimailig throws a right uppercut, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Dimailig holds on to his opponent.  Dimailig leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Dimailig to stop holding.  
Dimailig is on target with a stinging left hook to Furuta's ribs.  
Dimailig lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS FURUTA TO THE CANVAS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Dimailig!
