Vidal Reyes vs Dimos Catalina

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Univeridad Valle Del Cauca, Cali,  taking place on 04/08/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vidal Reyes (8(6) - 1) who hails from Magangue, Colombia and Dimos Catalina(15 - 13(2) - 7) from Cartagena, Colombia.  Reyes weighed in at 108 pounds, while Catalina weighed in at 107 pounds And 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nemesio Deniz, and the three ringside judges are Olindo Ventura, Santiago Diaz and Joaquin Baena.  

Round 1: 

Reyes gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Reyes is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Reyes gets on the inside.  Reyes sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Reyes connects with a left hook.  Reyes clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Reyes pushes his forearm into Catalina's face.  The referee warns Reyes and breaks the clinch.  
Reyes lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Reyes clinches his opponent.  Reyes is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  Catalina recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Reyes lands a firm right hook.  Reyes ties up his opponent.  Reyes throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Reyes.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Catalina.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.  
Catalina sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Reyes lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Reyes closes the distance and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Reyes lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Reyes digs in a left uppercut to Catalina's liver.  
Catalina pivots to the left of his opponent.  Reyes lands a solid cross.  
Reyes hits home with a sharp left hook.  Reyes holds on to his opponent.  Reyes leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Reyes's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Reyes lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Reyes forces Catalina to back into a neutral corner.  Reyes drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Reyes holds on to his opponent.  Reyes leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Reyes's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Reyes hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Reyes hits home with a firm cross.  
Reyes closes the distance.  Catalina sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Catalina throws a left hook, but Reyes ties up his opponent.  Reyes leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Reyes lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Reyes pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Reyes steps inside and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Reyes closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Reyes ties up his opponent.  Reyes leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Reyes lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Reyes forces Catalina to retreat into the blue corner.  Reyes is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Reyes lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND CATALINA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  It looks like Catalina has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Reyes lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Catalina almost instantly recovers. 
Reyes pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Reyes lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Reyes lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Reyes digs in a stinging left hook to Catalina's body.  
Reyes pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Catalina's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Catalina's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Catalina's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Reyes is looking to close the distance and is on target with a HUGE right hook.  CATALINA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Reyes senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Reyes lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS CATALINA TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Reyes!
