John Howells vs Kris Towns

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkansah Promotions promoted show at St. Louis Pearce, St. Louis,  taking place on 04/08/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid West Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Howells (11(5) - 0 - 2) who hails from Kansas City, USA and Kris Towns(16(9) - 0) from Little Rock, USA.  Both Howells and Towns weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is George Mulloy, and the three ringside judges are Dom Quinn, Antwan Dougherty and Floyd Schellhaas.  

Round 1: 

Towns feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Howells lands with a ramrod jab.  
Towns tries to step out of his opponents range.  Towns waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Howells hits home with a cross.  Howells throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Howells digs in a left hook to Towns's body.  
Towns pivots to the side of his opponent.  Towns attempts to land a left hook, but Howells sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Howells cuts off the ring, trapping Towns in the corner.  Howells drives a right hook into Towns's body.  
Towns throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Howells drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Towns dabs at his face checking for damage.
