Jack Bason vs Hilario Cepeda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-Ponce promoted show at Lorenzo Robles Gym, Ponce,  taking place on 02/08/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jack Bason (11(5) - 2 - 1) who hails from Henderson, USA and Hilario Cepeda(3 - 1) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Both Bason and Cepeda weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lorenzo Capo, and the three ringside judges are Ramiro Moyano, Nicandro Martinez and Vegas Baquero.  

Round 1: 

Bason is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a solid cross.  
Cepeda gets on the inside.  Bason hits home with a stinging right hook.  Bason ties up his opponent.  Bason is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Bason's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bason tries to step out of his opponents range.  Bason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Bason lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Bason throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cepeda walks Bason down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cepeda feints a right hook, but Bason is not fooled and responds with a cross.  
Bason lands a cross.  
Bason is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Bason lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Bason is on target with a FEARSOME overhand right.  CEPEDA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Cepeda almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Bason is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cepeda strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Bason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Cepeda is on target with a cross.  
Bason lands a solid jab.  
Bason lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Bason connects with a cross.  
Cepeda manages to force Bason onto the ropes.  Bason hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Bason tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a stinging jab to his opponents body.  
Bason hits home with an overhand left.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cepeda's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Cepeda's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Cepeda is looking to close the distance.  Bason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cepeda attempts to land a left hook, but Bason blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Bason is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cepeda manouvers Bason onto the ropes.  Bason lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Bason steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Cepeda gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bason lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bason lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Bason ties up his opponent.  Bason pushes his forearm into Cepeda's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bason to stop fouling.  
Bason lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Bason feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bason steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bason lands an overhand left followed by  two straights to his opponents head.

Cepeda walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cepeda attempts to land a right uppercut, but Bason blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Bason switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bason lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Cepeda recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Cepeda manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Cepeda tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Bason EXPLODES a VICIOUS overhand left into his opponents face.  CEPEDA IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Bason!
