Sierra Pita vs Rodrigo Cevallos

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Gimnasio San Juan de la Barrera, Mexico City,  taking place on 28/07/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Sierra Pita (2 - 0) who hails from Reynosa, Mexico and Rodrigo Cevallos(4 - 0) from Ecatepec, Mexico.  Both Pita and Cevallos weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Lizana, and the three ringside judges are Emanuel Lopez, Xalvador Vasquez and Loredo Barcelona.  

Round 1: 

Pita closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Cevallos finds the target with a jab.  
Pita throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pita lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pita is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Pita closes the distance and manages to force Cevallos onto the ropes.  Pita pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Cevallos is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but Pita sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Pita advances into close range.  Pita sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pita advances into close range and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Pita advances into close range and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cevallos tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cevallos's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Cevallos's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Cevallos steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Pita slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Pita steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Cevallos accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Pita.  Cevallos is on target with a left uppercut.  
Pita lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Pita gets on the inside and digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Pita lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pita steps inside.  Pita lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  As Pita tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cevallos dabs at his face checking for damage.  Cevallos has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
Pita gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Pita ties up his opponent.  Pita is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pita to stop fouling.  
Pita lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Pita steps inside.  Cevallos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Pita lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cevallos steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Pita advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cevallos pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pita digs in a right hook to Cevallos's ribs.  
Pita hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Pita lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Pita is on target with a stinging cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Pita's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Cevallos's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Pita closes the distance.  Cevallos sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pita throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pita is on target with a left hook.  Pita holds on to his opponent.  Pita is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pita throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Pita clinches his opponent.  Pita leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Pita hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks Pita's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cevallos lands a right hook.  
Pita lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Pita ties up his opponent.  Cevallos pushes his forearm into Pita's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Pita thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Cevallos away.  Pita lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is Pita!
