Venacio Astorga vs Ken McDonald

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 08/07/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Venacio Astorga (11(9) - 0) who hails from Mexicali, Mexico and Ken McDonald(19 - 15(7) - 3) from London, UK.  Both Astorga and McDonald weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Hyland, and the three ringside judges are Brandon Madigan, Leon Finnin and Thomas Burke.  

Round 1: 

Astorga is on target with a stinging left hook to McDonald's body.  Astorga ties up his opponent.  Astorga tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McDonald behind the head. 
Astorga throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Astorga's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Astorga advances into close range and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga pushes his forearm into McDonald's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Astorga lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Astorga advances into close range and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
McDonald gets on the inside.  Astorga lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Astorga lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND MCDONALD IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Astorga lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Astorga clinches his opponent.  Astorga is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Astorga about fouling.  
McDonald throws a left uppercut, but Astorga clinches his opponent.  Astorga leans on his opponent using all his weight. Astorga tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McDonald behind the head. 
Astorga lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
McDonald connects with a left hook.  
Astorga lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Astorga lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Astorga digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Astorga ties up his opponent.  McDonald pushes his forearm into Astorga's face.  The referee warns McDonald and breaks the clinch.  
McDonald attempts to land a right hook, but Astorga blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Astorga is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Astorga lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga leans on his opponent using all his weight. Astorga tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McDonald behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Astorga.  
Astorga lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Astorga ties up his opponent.  Astorga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Astorga throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Astorga's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Astorga drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McDonald's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  McDonald's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Astorga advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to McDonald's body.  
Astorga digs in a left hook to McDonald's liver.  
Astorga lands a stinging cross.  
Astorga steps inside and SLAMS a FEARSOME left hook into his opponents face.  MCDONALD IS HURT!  McDonald quickly recovers. 
Astorga lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Astorga is on target with a left uppercut to McDonald's body.  
Astorga gets on the inside and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
McDonald sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McDonald throws a right hook, but Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Astorga throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Astorga's ribs.  
Astorga lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Astorga lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Astorga hits home with a right uppercut.  
Astorga lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Astorga is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Astorga lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MCDONALD SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but McDonald cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Astorga!
