Wayne Thomas vs Mick Maddex

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Promotions promoted show at Wellington Syme, Wellington,  taking place on 30/06/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Wayne Thomas (7 - 8 - 1) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Mick Maddex(21 - 10(6)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Thomas weighed in at 147 pounds, while Maddex weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Barry Christeson, and the three ringside judges are Declan Ngarara, Mark Ruskin and Mason Bethel.  

Round 1:
