Aaron Marean vs Alastair Taylor

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Promotions promoted show at Wellington Quier, Wellington,  taking place on 30/06/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aaron Marean (12 - 13(5) - 5) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Alastair Taylor(3(1) - 0) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Marean weighed in at 111 pounds and 7 ounces, while Taylor weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sean Stackpole, and the three ringside judges are Kyle Kidd, Gareth Page and Oliver Murray.  

Round 1: 

Taylor lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a cross to the body.

Taylor walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Marean throws a right hook, but Taylor clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Taylor pushes his forearm into Marean's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Taylor about fouling.

Taylor closes the distance.  Marean attempts to land a right hook, but Taylor sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Taylor is looking to close the distance and lands a sharp left hook.

Taylor sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Taylor throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Taylor ties up his opponent.  Taylor leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Taylor's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Taylor is looking to close the distance.  Taylor pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Taylor is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Taylor holds on to his opponent.  Taylor leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Taylor walks Marean down, trapping him in a corner.  Taylor lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Taylor is on target with a right uppercut to Marean's body.  
Taylor lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Taylor is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  
Taylor is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Taylor sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Marean's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Marean's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Marean's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Marean sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Taylor hits home with a stinging cross.  
Taylor is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Taylor closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Taylor connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Taylor lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND MAREAN IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Marean almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Taylor lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Taylor connects with a right hook.  
Marean tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Marean steps inside.  Taylor lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Taylor lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Marean is looking to keep the action on the outside.  The right shot from Taylor could be enough to force the stoppage!  Taylor connects with a DEVASTATING left uppercut.  MAREAN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Marean now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Taylor gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Taylor lands a sharp right hook.  
Taylor connects with a spiteful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MAREAN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Marean recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Taylor is on target with a right uppercut to Marean's ribcage.  
Marean is looking to close the distance.  Taylor lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MAREAN DOWN!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Taylor!
