Ponce Sotelo vs Alejandro Arroyo

Boxing Daily Report from the Sowah Promotions promoted show at Carlos Montiel Gym, Maracaibo,  taking place on 06/06/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Zulia Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Sotelo (7 - 1) who hails from Maracaibo, Venezuela and Alejandro Arroyo(3 - 14) from Cabimas, Venezuela.  Sotelo weighed in at 160 pounds, while Arroyo weighed in at 159 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Emilio Quiroz, and the three ringside judges are Pablo Hinojos, Cuba Minjares and Onofre Chino.  

Round 1: 

Sotelo digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Sotelo is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sotelo connects with a right hook.  
Sotelo attempts to land a jab, but Arroyo parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Sotelo tries to land a left uppercut, but Arroyo sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Sotelo's ribs.

Arroyo closes the distance.  Sotelo drives a right hook into Arroyo's body.
