Greg Phoenix vs Sam Magee

Boxing Daily Report from the Adu Promotions promoted show at Phil Whiteford Gym, Allentown,  taking place on 29/05/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pennsylvania Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Greg Phoenix (8(2) - 7(1)) who hails from Philadelphia, USA and Sam Magee(11 - 6) from Pittsburgh, USA.  Phoenix weighed in at 167 pounds, while Magee weighed in at 168 pounds And 10 ounces.    As Magee came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is James Camus, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Gambini, Dillon Kundrat and Lloyd Orton.  

Round 1: 

Phoenix advances into close range.  Magee throws a left hook, but Phoenix clinches his opponent.  Phoenix leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Phoenix sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Phoenix digs in a left uppercut to Magee's ribs.  Phoenix holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Phoenix pushes his forearm into Magee's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magee attempts to land a cross, but Phoenix slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Phoenix steps inside.  Magee throws a right hook, but Phoenix holds on to his opponent.  Phoenix hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Phoenix about fouling.  
Phoenix drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Phoenix lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Phoenix is on target with a solid right hook.  
Phoenix digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Phoenix is on target with a solid right hook to Magee's body.  
Phoenix lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Phoenix lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Phoenix steps inside and is on target with a solid left uppercut to Magee's body.  
Magee steps to the outside and lands a cross.

Phoenix manouvers Magee onto the ropes.  Phoenix pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Phoenix is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Magee's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Magee's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Magee's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Phoenix manouvers Magee into the blue corner.  Phoenix lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Magee throws a right uppercut, but Phoenix clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Phoenix pushes his forearm into Magee's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Phoenix to stop fouling.  
Magee sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Phoenix is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Magee throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Phoenix steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Magee quickly recovers. 
Phoenix is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Phoenix steps inside.  Phoenix lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Phoenix throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Magee time to recover.  
Magee quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Phoenix is on target with a solid jab.  
Magee throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Phoenix drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Phoenix forces Magee to retreat into the corner.  Phoenix drives a right hook into Magee's body.  
Phoenix digs in a solid left hook to Magee's liver.  
Phoenix hits home with a left hook.  
Phoenix digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Phoenix tries to land a left hook, but Magee blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Phoenix lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Phoenix is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Phoenix lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS MAGEE DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
It looks like Magee has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
