Phil Blier vs Dominik Bucek

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 04/07/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sweet Phil Blier (44(36) - 2 - 1) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Dominik Bucek(25(1) - 9(6) - 2) from Prague, Czech Republic.  Both Blier and Bucek weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clint Duthie, and the three ringside judges are Charles Moss, James Pettry and William Grosjean.  

Round 1: 

Bucek closes the distance.  Bucek pivots to the side of his opponent.  Bucek attempts to land a right hook, but Blier slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bucek forces Blier to retreat onto the ropes.  Bucek pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Bucek steps inside.  Blier tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bucek lands a ramrod jab.  
Blier hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Bucek lands with a hard jab.  
Blier lands a stinging cross.  Blier throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bucek steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Blier lands a right hook.  
Blier switches the action to the outside and is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Bucek gets on the inside.  Blier is on target with a sharp right hook to Bucek's body.  Blier tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Bucek drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.

Bucek is looking to close the distance.  Blier quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Bucek steps inside.  Bucek pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blier's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Blier's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Blier is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Blier drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Bucek attempts to land a jab, but Blier blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bucek walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bucek quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bucek throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Blier tries to step out of his opponents range.  Bucek sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bucek attempts to land a jab, but Blier slips the shot and counters with a BRUTAL left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE BUCEK WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Bucek recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Bucek steps inside.  Blier is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  Blier wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bucek dabs at his face checking for damage.

Blier tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand left.

Bucek walks Blier down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bucek lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Bucek connects with a left hook.  
Blier lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bucek closes the distance.  Blier pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a WICKED left hook.  BUCEK IS HURT!  
Blier tries to step out of his opponents range.  Blier thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Bucek away.  Blier lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND BUCEK IS DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Blier!
