Fumio Kuwahara vs Daiki Taguchi

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan’s Boxing promoted show at Shinji Sugimoto Gym, Nagoya,  taking place on 18/05/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fumio Kuwahara (9 - 10 - 3) who hails from Toyota, Japan and Daiki Taguchi(16 - 13(1) - 6) from Toyohashi, Japan.  Kuwahara weighed in at 111 pounds and 6 ounces, while Taguchi weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Raiden Oyama, and the three ringside judges are Mikio Chino, Kenji Matsushima and Jun Fujii.  

Round 1: 

Kuwahara advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Taguchi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Kuwahara walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kuwahara hits home with a left uppercut.  
Taguchi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Taguchi pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Taguchi voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Kuwahara accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Taguchi.  Kuwahara lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kuwahara gets on the inside.  Taguchi is on target with a right uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Taguchi dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Taguchi.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
